Master printer John Matkowsky of the drkrm will describe the process of printing off original Ansel Adams negatives from the Los Angeles Public Library Photo Collection. Los Feliz resident and photographer, Richard Stanley, will discuss the Library’s collection of Ansel Adams negatives and other Adams collections held outside the photographer’s main archive. This special installment of The Photographer’s Eye is in conjunction with the exhibit Ansel Adams Los Angeles at the drkrm (727 S. Spring St., downtown LA) from February 18 to March 17.
