Join the Boyle Heights Paranormal Project for the very first Fright Night In The Heights! Come watch The Haunting (1963), inside reputedly haunted, abandoned Linda Vista Hospital in Boyle Heights.  

This  fundraising event is a private, by invitation/RSVP only. There will be only 150 seats available, so be quick to RSVP at the Facebook event page and secure your seat. BHPP will go down the list of RSVP's and select the first 150.  There is a $5 per person suggested donation and your name MUST be on the list to gain entry.

This is only a movie showing and not an invitation to investigate. The movie will be shown inside Linda Vista Hospital. 

Linda Vista and BHPP have the right to refuse entry to anyone who we feel poses a threat to the safety of others and will exercise that right, so NO SNAPPERS! Oh yeah, RSVP means you saved a seat for yourself and not 20 others. Security will be provided as well as some parking. Please understand that if you decide to try and walk around the hospital you will be in direct violation of the directions that will be given, and removed from the property. There will be popcorn and hot dogs and candy for sale with profits going to a good cause, please be sure to bring a lawn/beach chair to sit in and a sweater, the inside of the hospital can be scary cold! 

Next months movie will be outside and aimed toward those who could not attend this premier. ***THIS IS A MOVIE***NOT A INVESTIGATION*** although you could be part of the after tour that will be offered for a suggested $20 donation. We will announce this on movie night. Bring your cameras as you never know what you'll catch staring at you from the windows.

This month's gathering will be at bar room of the "world famous" Derby in Arcadia (a couple of blocks from the Santa Anita Race Track), which is said to be haunted by George "The Iceman" Woolf, Seabiscuit's former jockey. So come out and join the fun, where the Iceman still apparently cometh.

To commemorate the 1985 capture of the infamous Los Angeles serial killer Richard Ramirez, Eastside Desmadre Tours will conduct a guided walking/public bus tour to explore the downtown L.A. haunts and dwellings of the “The Night Stalker.” Included in the tour is a visit to the East L.A. street where he was captured, as well as interviews with local witnesses involved in his apprehension.

This month's gathering will be at "Mexico" on historic route 66 in West Hollywood, where Jim Morrison (a.k.a "The Lizard King"), the charismatic lead singer for "The Doors," is said to haunt the restroom of this small Mexican restaurant that was once "The Doors Woorkshop," where the the quintessential L.A. band recorded their last Album "L.A. Woman." (The haunted restroom was formerly the sound booth where Morrison recorded his vocals).

This month's meeting will be held at the historic (and haunted) Aztec Hotel, one of the iconic roadside attractions of old Route 66. In addition to its place in Southern California's car culture, it is also said to have been (over the decades) a brothel, a speak-easy, a gambling den, a mobster hangout, and a half-way house. The management has agreed to give attendees tours of haunted room 120, where an actress (or possibly a prostitute) died when her head cracked open on the radiator during the throws of passion.  In addition, there will be themed live entertainment in the bar, and some other spooky surprises.

Note: At this month's gathering, a "lost" Disneyland artifact will be on display for the first time since its removal in 1982, and for this one night only! In addition, the last remaining copies of "Disneyland after Dark: An Unauthorized Guide to the Happiest (Haunted) Place on Earth" will also be available for purchase, and the author and illustrator will be present.

This month's gathering will be at the historic, fairy-tale themed Tam O'Shanter's Inn, which was not only Walt Disney's favorite bar (and was one of the local inspirartions for Disneyland), but is also currently home to a few colorful ghosts.

Note: At this month's "Spirits with Spirits," GHOULA will be celebrating the release of Ghoula Press' first book, Disneyland after Dark: An Unauthorized Guide to the Happiest (Haunted) Place on Earth. The book will be available for purchase, and the author will be present.

Maja D'Aoust, the White Witch of Los Angeles, hosts a new metaphysical lecture series held on the second Sunday of each month in the historic Annie Besant Lodge in Beachwood Canyon. Maja is the librarian at Manly P. Hall's Philosophical Research Society, where she lectured for four years, the co-author of "The Secret Source: The Law of Attraction is One Of Seven Hermetic Laws, Here are the Other Six" and hostess of the Maja's Mysteries series of Esotouric bus adventures. The theme of tonight's lecture is: The Magic of Numbers; Math of God.
