Gentle reader,

We’d like to thank you for being part of the LAVA community and for having signed up to get updates about our occasional crime lab seminars at Cal State Los Angeles.

LAVA now has its own page on the social media reviews site Yelp.com. Since we don’t advertise, positive word of mouth is how we let new people know about LAVA—both as attendees, and as LAVA Visionary members who post their own cool activities to our website calendar.

If you’ve attended one or more LAVA events and are inclined to write a short review, you may do so at the link below. We’d really appreciate it!

Yesterday’s event with Ed Nordskog was a fascinating exploration of the poorly understood psychology of serial arson offenders, and the startling contrast between the pathetic real-life criminals and Hollywood’s romanticized image of arsonists. If you missed Ed’s presentation, you can still pick up a copy of his terrific new book ”’Torchered’ Minds: Case Histories of Notorious Serial Arsonists” from the link on the event page: http://lavatransforms.org/crimelabmarch4

The next crime lab seminar is THE KILLER BEHIND THE CAMERA on June 3, and reservations are already being accepted at the link below.
http://lavatransforms.org/crimelabjune3

We hope to see you at the event on June 3, but you’re most welcome to check out LAVA’s other interesting events.

Please visit the LAVA website, Twitter or Facebook page (links below), or sign up for the main LAVA Flows email newsletter at the LAVA site for regular updates on events outside the crime lab.

yrs,
Kim & Richard
