Min Min Hats, Accessories & Other Necessities
Yasmin Dixon’s creative life currently consists of making soft-sculptured hats, as she explores the nuances of jazz vocal styling. Past creative incarnations have included visual, video and public artist, (Kid’s Carnival, Pinball ArtCade and The Visionary Neighborhood-an installation on Boston City Hall Plaza for FirstNite, set designer (award-winning), actor/writer/director(AEA & SSDC member candidate) and theatrical producer (Andromeda-The Ethiopian Princess).
A fairly recent transplant to Los Angeles, Yasmin was immediately attracted to the relatively old world charm of Downtown, LA. Born in London and raised in Boston, MA, she has also appreciated the charms of New York City, Paris, Milan, Bern, Montreal and Jamaica, West Indies.
As if this wasn’t enuf, Yasmin would like at some point to expose the Federal Reserve Bank and the fractional reserve system for its obscurely absurdist contribution to the failure of western civilization. Yasmin received her bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Brown University in the stone age before personal computers. Join the Hat Revolution.
