Fig Knit-On Workshop: Crocheting with Plastic Bags and Crocheting with Beads

Artist Julie Keehner will lead a workshop where you can create a shopping tote using recycled plastic bags and/or learn to crochet using beading wire and beads. Some prior experience helpful, but not necessary.

This workshop is offered in conjunction with “Fig Knit-On,” a fiber arts exhibition and yarn-bombing event. Inside the gallery will be a variety of examples of knit and crochet work, while on the block in front of the gallery will be “knit graffiti”–parking meter stems, trash cans, and planter boxes filled with knit and crochet pieces created and installed especially for this event.
