WAYNE WHITE | You’re Supposed to Act All Impressed
After taking his biographical one-man show to college campuses, bookstores and barrooms across the country, one of LA’s finest artists, Wayne White (Pee-wee’s Playhouse, Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight” and Peter Gabriel’s “Big Time”), is bringing his act to Largo at the Coronet.
Please join Wayne Tuesdays in February (2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22) for a one hour show where he’ll be discussing his life, his work, his influences and his many experiences as a painter, illustrator, puppeteer, cartoonist, designer, art director, set designer and Southerner.
Throughout the evening, Wayne will be narrating a constant flow of visually stunning images, while mixing in a little banjo and harmonica. Wayne’s monograph “Maybe Now I’ll Get The Respect I So Richly Deserve,” edited by Todd Oldham with almost 400 pages of his work will be for sale and Wayne will be signing copies after the show.
Each show will be shot for a feature length documentary about Wayne’s life.
