Maynard Hale Lyndon’s design legacy took root in Boston with Design Research, the store that brought modern living to American homes. On view: a choreography of memory and impression: “Looking Boxes are my layered constructions, wherein I juxtapose images from the thousands of photographs I have taken, (many in Los Angeles) stretching back to 1962. The boxes combine details of places in surprising and serendipitous scenes. Each is one-of-a-kind. There are no duplicates.” Custom boxes on special order, with the collector’s own photographs.
