No plus-ones; each guest must register individually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT THIS EVENT: <\/strong>Constructed in 1922 as the flagship of what was to be a national chain of mausoleums, Sunnyside Mausoleum is a stunning structure inspired in part by the Royal Pantheon beneath the Basilica at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El_Escorial\">El Escorial<\/a> in Spain, and adorned throughout with breath-taking tile and stained glass art by Southern California artisans of the early 20th century.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us for an informal walk through the mausoleum and courtyard, which will include a brief history of the cemetery, and a discussion from 1947project\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s own <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insroland.org\/user\/653\">Nathan Marsak<\/a> on the rise and fall of mausoleum architecture in America.<\/p>\n<p>The mausoleum is not that large, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s full of nooks and crannies. Please endeavor to arrive on time. Should you arrive late and cannot find the group, please call Richard\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mobile phone, and he will try to assist you:  213-915-8687.<\/p>\n<p>We will gather at the eastern entrance of the mausoleum at 11:30am to check in, then go inside for the tour at 11:45 sharp.
